Itinerary
Day 1: Agadir → Marrakech
Start your Sahara desert tour from Agadir with a pickup from your hotel or the airport. Travel to Marrakech, the “Red City,” and enjoy a guided introduction to its medina, souks, and gardens. Overnight stay in Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Boumalne Dades
Journey through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Stop at the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its film history, before continuing through Ouarzazate and the Valley of the Roses. Overnight in Boumalne Dades.
Day 3: Boumalne Dades → Todra Gorge → Merzouga
Follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping at the towering cliffs of Todra Gorge. Pass through Erfoud, known for its fossils, before reaching Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara. Dinner and overnight in a traditional kasbah near the dunes.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert Experience
Spend the day exploring the Sahara Desert. Visit Khamlia village to hear Gnawa music, see ancient mines in Mifis, and explore hidden oases. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset. Overnight in a Berber desert camp with traditional music and stargazing.
Day 5: Merzouga → Rissani → Ouarzazate → Marrakech
Wake up for a breathtaking desert sunrise before traveling through Rissani’s traditional souk and the palm groves of the Draa Valley. Cross the High Atlas Mountains and return to Marrakech for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Marrakech City Tour
Enjoy a full day exploring Marrakech. Highlights include the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Majorelle Gardens, and the famous Jemaa el-Fna square. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 7: Marrakech → Agadir
